What this policy covers

This page explains the cookies selectlandscapeinc.com uses, what each group of them does, and how to change what you allow. Our Privacy Policy covers everything else we collect, including what happens when you request a free estimate or call us.

The groups we sort cookies into

Every cookie on this site falls into one of five groups. You can allow or refuse each group except the first.

Strictly necessary. Essential for the site to work and to remember the privacy choices you make in the banner. Includes the consent cookie itself. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot remember that you said no.
Performance. Analytics that show us how the site is used. Page views and traffic sources from Google Analytics, and anonymized recordings of scrolling and clicks from Microsoft Clarity, which masks what you type into forms.
Functionality. Remembers your preferences, and lets the booking calendar complete a request for a free estimate.
Targeting. Advertising cookies from Google. They let us measure which ads bring people to the site, and show our ads again to people who have already visited it.
Unclassified. Anything found on the site that has not been sorted yet.

What you allow, and how to change it

When you first arrive, a banner tells you the site uses cookies and gives you a choice. Analytics, functionality and advertising cookies are on unless you turn them off, which is what California law allows. Decline all switches off everything except the strictly necessary group.

Your choice is remembered for 180 days, and you can change it whenever you like using the cookie settings button in the corner of every page. The same button reopens the full list of cookies.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, but the booking calendar needs its own cookies to complete a booking.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal

Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control signal on your behalf. We honor it. Advertising cookies are switched off, and nothing about your visit goes to Google for advertising. Analytics and functionality cookies still run, because the signal is an opt out of selling and sharing your information, which is not what those do. You can still switch them off yourself in the banner. We do not respond to other Do Not Track signals.

The cookie settings button opens a panel listing every cookie found on the site, what it is for, who sets it and how long it lasts. We rescan the site every month, and the list updates with it. If a new cookie appears, we ask you for your choice again rather than assuming the old one still covers it.

We do not sell advertising space and no other company advertises on this site. The cookies that are not ours belong to tools we use to run the business.

CookieScript, which runs the banner and stores your choice.

When this page changes

When the cookies on the site change, this page changes with them and the date at the top moves. A new cookie also resets the banner, so you get a fresh choice rather than one you made about something else.
