Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Select Landscape Inc., a California corporation and licensed contractor in Bakersfield. They cover your use of this website, the free estimate you can request through it, and the texts, calls and emails that follow. By using the site or requesting an estimate, you agree to them.

The work itself is a separate agreement. Every job we do runs under a signed written quote and the Terms and Conditions attached to it. Where these website terms and a signed agreement differ, the signed agreement wins for that job.

Estimates are free. One of our team members comes to the property, looks at the job with you and answers your questions. Nothing on this site is an offer, a price or a promise about what a job will cost. The only price we stand behind is the written quote we send you after the estimate.

A written quote lists the scope, the materials, the price and the schedule, and it is valid for the period stated on it. Nothing starts until you sign it, and any change after that goes through a written change order that both of us approve.

Your signed quote sets the deposit and the payment schedule, within the limits California law puts on home improvement contracts, and it spells out the cancellation rights California gives you. Financing is available on larger projects. Ask us at the estimate.

Booking through the calendar on this site is a request for a time. We confirm it by text or email, and if we cannot make that slot we will offer another. Please give us accurate contact details and the address of the property. The estimate happens at the property, so someone who can let us in needs to be there, and you confirm that you own the property or have the owner's permission to have work quoted on it.

If the property is outside the area we cover, we will tell you when we confirm. If you need to cancel or move an estimate, reply to the confirmation or email us. There is no charge for cancelling an estimate.

When you request an estimate and tick the consent box, you agree that Select Landscape may call, text and email you about your estimate, your quote and your job. Message frequency varies with your project, and a typical estimate brings a handful of texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts and HELP for help. You can also opt out by email.

Consent to texts is not a condition of hiring us. If you would rather not be texted, call us and we will work with you by phone. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your number is in our Privacy Policy. We never share or sell it, or your consent, for anyone else's marketing.

Calls to (661) 605-5831 may be answered by a virtual assistant, which is software, not a person. It says so at the start of the call, and it can book your estimate, take a message or pass you to a team member. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so your request is captured accurately, and the assistant tells you that too. If you would rather not be recorded, reach us by text or email.

The text, photos and logo on this site belong to Select Landscape Inc. The photos show our own work. You are welcome to share links to our pages, but please do not copy or reuse our content without asking. The customer reviews quoted here were posted publicly on Google and belong to the people who wrote them. We quote them as written.

If you are a customer and would prefer that your project not appear on the site, tell us and we will take it down.

We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we cannot promise it will always be error free or available. Information on the site is general. Every yard is different, so what your project involves is decided at the estimate and set out in your written quote, not by anything on these pages. The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind about the site itself. This does not limit anything in a signed agreement for a job, or any right California law gives you that cannot be waived.

To the extent California law allows, Select Landscape Inc. is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using this site or relying on its content, including indirect or consequential losses. This applies only to the website. Our responsibility for the work we do is set out in your signed agreement and by law.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, including texting, call recording and cookies. It is part of these terms.

These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute about the site is handled in the state or federal courts in Kern County, California. Disputes about a job follow the signed agreement for that job. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

When we change these terms we update the date at the top. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
