Landscape Lighting in Bakersfield

The National Weather Service puts our normal July high at 98 degrees, and we average about 33 days a year at 100 or more. In summer the yard is not usable until the sun is down, which means the hours you actually spend outside are the dark ones. Lighting is what turns the patio from a place you look at into a place you sit.

We plan for that. Warm white LEDs, around 2700 kelvin, because cooler blue-white light makes a yard look like a parking lot. Fixtures aimed at what matters and shielded so you see the tree, not the bulb. Timers and photocells so it comes on at dusk without anyone thinking about it.

Low voltage systems run at 12 volts from a transformer that plugs into an outdoor outlet. That makes the wiring safe to bury shallow and safe around kids, pets and sprinklers, and it means adding or moving a fixture later is straightforward. LED fixtures use a fraction of the power of the old halogen ones and last for years, so the system costs little to run and rarely needs a bulb. Weather resistant fixtures matter here too; a summer of 100 degree afternoons is harder on a light than a winter is.

We offer regular maintenance and service to keep the system in top condition, and we handle upgrades and replacements for outdated or faulty components, including converting older halogen systems to LED. If a light on an existing system has gone dark, it is usually a connection, a photocell or the transformer, and it is a quick visit.
