We offer complete landscape design and installation services, with a focus on customer care and satisfaction. Our designers work with you from start to finish, from the initial design to the completion of the project, and they are on site to make sure the landscape is completed properly.
That is the difference between a plan and a picture. When the person who draws the yard is the person who builds it, nothing gets drawn that cannot be built in your yard, on your budget, with your soil and your sun.

Every item on that list is something our own crew builds. Nothing is subcontracted out and forgotten.
Bakersfield sits in USDA zone 9b, and the National Weather Service puts our normal July high at 98 degrees, with about 33 days a year at 100 or more. A yard designed for somewhere else will not survive that. Ours are designed here.
Well planned landscaping provides trees for shade, shrubs to direct cooling breezes, and open areas that stay usable. So we place shade trees and patio covers against the afternoon sun, group plants by how much water they need, run drip where it makes sense, and choose plants that hold up in August without a fight. The city sets watering days by street number, so the irrigation plan is built around those days from the start, not adjusted after the first bill.
The builder left a fence and a dirt lot. You get the whole yard planned as one job, front and back, in stages if that suits the budget. If you have a plot plan, a landscape plan or the construction plans, send them; they help us review the project and prepare a more accurate quote.
The lawn never took, the sprinklers were an afterthought, the patio is too small. We redesign around what is worth keeping and rebuild the rest.

Yes. A landscape architect holds a separate state licence and is usually required on large or public projects. Select Landscape is a licensed landscape contractor, C-27, that designs and builds residential yards. For a home, the contractor's design is what actually gets built, which is the point.
The design is how you avoid paying for the yard twice. Drainage, sprinkler lines, concrete and planting done in the wrong order get torn up and redone. Planned together, they go in once.
Yes, and small yards need the plan more. When there is no room for mistakes, where the patio cover goes and which corner gets the shade tree is the whole job.
Ask for the CSLB licence number and look it up. Ask who draws the plan and who builds it.
